Solid Wenge and Orange Fluorescent Plexiglass.
During the day, natural light has a special effect on thin slices of plexiglass. In the evening, a light source (LED) illuminates the object from the inside and creates an unexpected light projection. Continue reading “Altesalux Contemporary Design Lighting”
Altesachair Contemporary Design Armchair
Modèle #01 – Wenge
The Altesachair design armchair is made of solid Wenge. A sheet of plexiglass is encrusted on the backs and on the armrests.
The thin plexiglass blade lights up when it receives light. This creates an important contrast with the dark and warm color of Wengé. The seat is in matt black lacquered wood (epoxy paint).
The Altesachair # 01 armchair is published in limited series, on order and each copy is numbered. Information request
Modèle #02 – OAK/SIPO
The Altesachair armchair is available in solid oak and Sipo (exotic wood). The alternation of the two species creates a particular rhythm.
The alternation of colors, the dark brown of the sipo and the light shade of oak underline the vertical structure of the chair.
Seat matt black lacquered (epoxy paint).
The Altesachair chair # 02 is published in limited series, on order and each copy is numbered. Information request

ACCESSORIES THE CUSHIONS OF ANNE-CLAIRE GLASSON
In her workshop in Evrecy, Anne-Claire Glasson, upholsterer in Normandy, works rafia, linen, cotton, sky, leather, to create a collection of cushions original measures Altesachair.
IN THE PIERRE BRETONNET CARPENTRY WORKSHOP HAND MADE
The roads leading to Amayé-sur-Orne announce the color, we are in the heart of Normandy. AltesaChair and Altesalux are shaped here by Pierre Bretonnet.
The fragrance of raw gasolines blends with the smell of wood heated by the blades. It require 61 pieces of wood to make an Altesachair model and 54 pieces for an Altesalux.
They are shaped and put together one by one, by hand and assembled here.
Daniel Guillotin Creation of original and custom design objects
DANIEL GUILLOTIN, FROM GRAPHIC DESIGN TO OBJECT DESIGN
A classical training in fine arts graphic design has allowed me to live for many years alongside signs, images, texts, shapes, colors and materials, all of which have become good friends. Graphic designer and artistic director for thirty years …. In two dimensions.
I missed the third dimension.
The volume, the work of the material, the collaboration with Pierre Bretonnet, trusted craftsman and partner. To compose with the technical constraints, to turn around the object and to make exist all its faces. Learn again.
Between the sculpture and the object, always attracted by the sobriety of the drawing and the limited series which provoke the creation.
